The difference between large corporates and Shieldpay
Having spent nearly 18 years working in large financial institutions, joining Shieldpay was a breath of fresh air.
When I joined, the Financial Crime Operations Team was still in its infancy and the structure and processes that I was used to were limited. But this is where I saw an opportunity for me to thrive in the role. It allowed me to get stuck in right away and put my larger organisation experience to good use. Very quickly I was able to have direct input into developing our internal processes, implementing new ideas, and working with brilliant open minds to bring those ideas to life.
This is what sets Shieldpay apart from the larger, more established players for me.
Shieldpay fosters a culture of development and growth and this filters through to everyone in the team. It has been heart-warming and inspiring to see the team grow with enthusiastic colleagues who are not only talented but keen. And I’ve appreciated the exposure to change management which certainly mixes it up!
I am empowered to have autonomy over my role and new ideas are encouraged. Not only that, but ideas are followed through! I’m so happy to be able to apply my expertise (gained from earlier roles) in bringing onboard a raft of different clients.
I see ideas come to grow and develop into tangible results and this truly makes me feel valued. I couldn’t have asked for anything more.
